Accessibility Statement

Laborhutt.com LLC ("Laborhutt," "we," "us") is committed to making our website and mobile apps usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Moving help should be easy to book no matter how you navigate the web.

1) Our Conformance Target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are the internationally recognized standard for making web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

Laborhutt is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of our content do not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working to close those gaps.

2) Measures We Take

Accessibility is part of how we build, not a one-time audit. Our ongoing measures include:

  • Building on semantic HTML with accessible names and labels for interactive controls.
  • Supporting full keyboard navigation, with visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields.
  • Running automated accessibility testing against our public pages.
  • Working toward sufficient color contrast between text and its background.
  • Providing text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
  • Designing layouts that reflow on small screens and at high zoom levels without loss of content.
  • Including accessibility considerations in design and code review for new features.

3) Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are aware of the following and are working on them:

  • Interactive maps: our map-based features (such as the movers map and live tracking) rely on third-party mapping services whose controls may not be fully usable with a screen reader. Where a map is used, we aim to provide the same information in text form; if you cannot access it, please contact us and we will provide the details directly.
  • Third-party content: embedded components we do not control — including payment forms, chat widgets, and mapping tiles — may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We select vendors with accessibility in mind and raise issues with them when we find them.
  • User-generated content: photos and descriptions uploaded by customers and movers may lack text alternatives, because they are supplied by users rather than by Laborhutt.
  • Color contrast: some secondary and muted text does not yet meet the 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio against its background. We are revising these styles.
  • Older blog and location pages: some archived pages may contain heading structures or link text that do not meet our current standards. We remediate these as we update them.

4) Feedback and Reporting a Barrier

5) Assistance With Booking

If any part of our website or app prevents you from booking, tracking, or managing a move, contact us at the email or phone number above and our support team will complete the booking with you directly, at no additional cost.

6) Technical Specifications

Accessibility of Laborhutt relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer: HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript. These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Laborhutt is designed to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) used together with current assistive technologies. Support on older browsers or assistive technology versions may be limited.

7) Assessment Approach

Laborhutt assesses the accessibility of its website through internal self-evaluation using automated accessibility testing tools. We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit.
